Sea Urchin Metal Bowl - Matte Black
The forms of nature are preserved in this unique piece. The Sea Urchin Metal Bowl is a perfect accompaniment to small bite spreads. It can hold olives, dips, nuts or go into the oven with a spreadable cheese for gentle warming. The bowl is cast in aluminum using the lost wax method and finished with a black anodized coating. Its heft and texture have many mistaking it for ceramic. Oven safe to 400°F, it is perfect for warm, hot or cold foods.
Care Instructions
Matte Black aluminum should be hand washed with dish soap and towel or air dried only. Any Scotchbite pad or nylon brush is fine if needed. Dishwasher use should be avoided.
Artifaqt Wood Balm can add a protective coating to our black aluminum serveware as well as add luster and help to release food. Preheat the platter in the oven at about 120°F and apply a thin coat of our balm while hot. Then wipe off the balm with a lint-free cloth while still warm. Do not microwave. A quick broil is fine.
