The vast majority of our wood comes from a family run sawmill in Northwestern Pennsylvania. The folks at Horizon Lumber hand-select pieces based on our specifications.

We work primarily with Walnut, Oak, Cherry, and Maple. These dense woods are selected for their durability, beautiful tight grain structures, and natural food-safe properties, making them ideal for daily use.

Our candles are poured by hand using 100% pure beeswax. Unlike mass-market paraffin or soy candles, beeswax burns cleaner, longer, and emits a natural, subtle honey aroma.

We also make all of our own candle molds using silicone rubber. This allows us to capture the full detail in each design.

Hand wash with warm water and mild soap. Do not soak in water. Dry immediately after washing. An occasional coat of Artifaqt Balm will help the wood continue to repel moisture and increases the life of the product. Do not use vegetable oils meant for cooking as they can become rancid and may not dry properly, leaving a sticky residue.

With simple, proper care these pieces will last a lifetime.

The anodizing process leaves a very hard, stain resistant and durable surface, however, the caustics of dishwashing detergents will degrade the surface. HANDWASH with dish soap and towel or air dry only. Any Scotchbrite pad or a nylon brush is fine if needed. Oven safe to 400°F.

Safe for home and commercial automatic dishwashers. Chef’s Bright does not need polishing. If you choose to hand wash it, follow with towel drying to avoid water spots. Oven safe to 400°F. Do not microwave. A quick broil is fine.

Yes, that is what they are made for! One of our most frequent comments to receive is, “these candles are too nice to burn.” While we do understand this sentiment our candles are certainly made to be burned. They are crafted with 100% pure beeswax. We carefully select the proper cotton wick size to ensure an optimal and efficient burn. Burning tips and instructions.

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Rates are based on package weight and shipping destination. Your selected shipping speed applies once the parcel has been packed and picked up by the carrier.

We try to process an order as quickly as possible, which is usually 2-3 business days. Please allow for extra shipping days over holidays, as delays can be experienced.

Absolutely. Our storefront is right in front of our woodshop here on Main Street. We are open as long as we are here making. So, from about 9am-7pm Monday-Friday. However, it is typical for my dad to be here until 10pm. There is a call button on our front door, when you ring it, we will come to greet you.

You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at 15 S Main Street. Your pickup will include a tour of our making space if you would like. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 2 to 3 business days, unless we notify you otherwise. We will send you an email when your order is ready for pickup.

We accept returns up to 30 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition.  Shipping costs are non-refundable and the return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
