Fossilized Fern Metal Serving Platter
The forms and texture of nature are preserved in this unique serving set. The platter was originally molded from a fossilized fern. It features a small groove for the 6 oz. bowl to gently rest on. Both pieces are cast in aluminum and finished in a Matte Black food safe coating.
Ideal for serving any kind of small snack.
Oven safe to 400°F, it is perfect for warm, hot or cold foods. The Matte Black finish mixes beautifully with other pieces in wood or Chef’s Bright.
Care Instructions
Matte Black aluminum should be hand washed with dish soap and towel or air dried only. Any Scotchbite pad or nylon brush is fine if needed. Dishwasher use should be avoided.
Artifaqt Wood Balm can add a protective coating to our black aluminum serveware as well as add luster and help to release food. Preheat the platter in the oven at about 120°F and apply a thin coat of our balm while hot. Then wipe off the balm with a lint-free cloth while still warm. Do not microwave. A quick broil is fine.
