acid oxidized patina

Casting is sandblasted to expose the metal.
Then the casting is dipped in an acid solution which oxidizes / blackens the metal to a predetermined patina.
The patina is selectively removed using a coarse steel wool.
This exposes and brightens the metal.
Polishing is continued by hand with a fine steel wool and the sealed.

woodenware Finish

A natural, non-toxic oil made from pressed nut meats is hand applied to penetrate deep into the wood fibers. This is followed by a coat of wax made from edible oils and beeswax which we buff to the final shine. Together, these applications protect the woodenware grain from taking up food juices and odors and enhance the beauty of the grain, bringing it to full “dimension”.
